I must admit I not really a football fan… don’t get me wrong I do watch a game now and then.

However, I am a huge Drew Brees fan!

Drew is the quarterback for the NFL’s New Orleans Saints and he is an exceptional player but throwing a ball is not his greatest talent.

Drew

His ability to inspire other to “expect more” out of themselves and others you find out what I mean at the Drew Brees Foundation website:
http://www.drewbrees.com/home.html

When we met Drew talked about growing up with a facial difference and the comments and stares that often comes with looking different. Mr. Brees had a great outlook and used his difference to tap into an inner strength, a power we all have deep inside us(to be more and expect more of ourselves)but not used much these days.

Drew Brees

When playing football at Purdue the student body would paint a “P” on their cheeks in the exact location as their beloved quarterback Drew Brees’s birthmark. His birthmark became like war paint and inspired the entire university.

Drew Brees is a great role model for any young person but for those of us that have a facial difference he is truly an inspiration to – “expect more”.
