At Saint Paul's High School in the fall of 2007...

I was asked to perform the National Anthem before a football game.

Saint Paul's (an all boy high school) had just finished a major investment in the football program and this was the first home game in the new stadium.

Like most high schools Saint Paul's is all about sports especially football, millions of dollars on a field but the school does not have the money to fund a choir.

My friends knew I played drums but most had never heard me sing before, others thought I was nuts... no one would be quite and listen.

The Stephen Dale Project is about developing self-esteem and pursuing one's dreams even if you can not play football. After that night it became a little "cooler" to sing around school and some of the guys had really great voices I think every school should have a good music program.
